Enjoy this lovely and tasty pirogue with Västerbotten cheese and apricot jam. Flavored with thyme and walnuts for crunch. This recipe is a collaboration between Kitchen of Anna and Västerbottensost®
2 rectangular puff pastry (250 g/pc)
200 g of cream cheese
1 cup walnuts
1 tbsp thyme
Eggs for brushing
Roll out the puff pastry plates, put the short sides edge to edge and with about 1 cm overlap and press together.
Mix together cream cheese with grated Västerbotten cheese. Breeze on the whole puff pastry plate, click over the apricot jam, chopped walnuts and thyme.
Roll up into a dough roll, stretch a little and roll up into a spiral. Place the pirogue in a mold with parchment paper on it.
Bake in the lower part of the oven at 175 degrees for about 30 minutes until the pirogue is golden brown.
Feel free to serve hot for the best taste experience!
