Creamy herring with Västerbottensost cheese®

Make your own herring this year! Here is a recipe for a creamy herring with Västerbotten cheese that goes just as well for Midsummer as for Easter and Christmas!

1 pkt 5-min herring
1 dl crème fraiche
1 cup mayonnaise
1.5 dl Västerbottensost®, grated
0.5 dl dill, finely chopped
1 tbsp dijon mustard
Salt and pepper

HOW TO DO IT

Creamy herring with Västerbottensost cheese®

Pour the layers away from the herring and cut it into smaller pieces.
Mix mayonnaise, crème fraiche, dill, mustard and grated Västerbotten cheese.
Gently stir in the herring and season with salt and pepper.
Let it stand and soak in the refrigerator for a few hours, preferably in a jar with a lid.
Served with advantage on the festive table or as an appetizer together with boiled potatoes, green salad and croutons of kavring.
