Perfect starter for New Year’s Eve. If you want to offer them as snacks, you just spritz them less.
20 blinis (available in the freezer if you do not want to make your own)
1 cup cream cheese
1 dl smetana (or crème fraiche)
1 lemon
1 pot of chives
1 egg yolk
30 g of roe
Salt and black pepper
Mix cream cheese, Västerbotten cheese and smetana in a bowl with hand blender. Add a little salt and lemon juice to taste.
Heat the blinis in the oven or in a frying pan with butter in it if you bought ready-made, or fry your own.
Spread the cheese cream on the blinis. Stir together the roe and the yolk (believe me – will be magically good). Top the cheese cream with the rum and sprinkle finely chopped chives over.
Finish by grating some lemon zest over. Enjoy!
