Wonderfully good and creamy herring with Västerbottensost®. Simple to prepare and perfect for Easter, Midsummer or on the Christmas table.
400 g of pickled herring
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cooking yogurt
1 clove of garlic
1 tablespoon unsweetened (French) mustard
1/2 lime, zest and juice
cayenne pepper
chives, chopped
salt and pepper
Simple herring with lime and Västerbotten cheese®
Pour the layers away from the herring and cut it into pieces, about a centimeter wide.
Mix together the mayonnaise, yogurt and the grated cheese.
Squeeze the garlic clove and add the mustard, lime zest, chives and a little cayenne pepper.
Season to taste with a little lime juice, salt and pepper.
Alternate herring and cream in a bowl.
Let it stand and soak in the refrigerator for a few hours.
