Meatballs with Västerbottensost®

Make homemade meatballs with Västerbotten cheese®. These are guaranteed to be appreciated!

Ingredients

100 g

500 g minced beef or game mince
1 shallot, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter, for frying
4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1.5 dl milk
1 egg
1.5 tsp salt
1 pinch of black pepper
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh thyme
100 g Västerbottensost cheese®

Meatballs with Västerbottensost®

Fry the onion soft.
Mix breadcrumbs and milk and leave to swell for a little while.
Add eggs, salt, pepper, onion and thyme.
Stir in the minced meat and mix into a batter.
Grate or cut Västerbottensost into smaller cubes and add the minced meat.
Shape the minced meat into buns.
Roll a piece of cheese into the center of each meatball.
Fry the meatballs in butter.
Feel free to serve with pressed almond potatoes and decorate with fresh thyme.
